Remember when skateboarding broke into popular culture. The peak of X-Games, Ryan Sheckler, Bam Margera, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. Skateboarders were making real celebrity money. Bob built a mega ramp, bought a helicopter, without doing a TV show. Bam, Ryan and Tony are different than people who were just skateboarders.

The lifespan of pro-skaters is increasing, more people are better at skateboarding than ever. The amount of money flowing into the industry is not. The skateboard industry is experiencing it’s own kind of inflation.
